Does anyone know anything about copywriting things on blogs? Are people able to take a story from a blog, put their name on it and send it off as their work? How does one protect themself against blog theft?

Let's see... plagiarism is taking things from a book. 14 letters past b to p. I guess that's called plogiarism? I hate that it may have happened to you, btw. If indeed it did, how is it now being displayed by the perp? Did they copyright it somehow?

You can check out www.copyright.gov for the latest laws relating to this issue. The problem is, sometimes the laws come later because of the quick advances in technology. Generally, you need to apply for copyright protection. There is a special kind of copyright you can apply for that will cover your stuff as it changes from day to day (such as what news stations have).
