Hello Brothers & Sisters, I am new here too. I am a christian from Middle East. I want to exchange and discuss our opinions about our christian faith. I want to learn much more. Life has no sense without Jesus. He is the only one who can give us eternal peace, love and happiness. God bless

Hello my friend. I am from Iran and Iraq (Assyrian). How I came to Jesus: I used to go to church since I was little. But I compare between active and passive Christians. Some Christians differentiate between "Christians by name" and "Jesus followers". I would consider myself as somebody "in between" of both. Having fun and just enjoying life without God is not satisfying to me. I need something for my soul. There is something in me, that demands answers to God, life, why we exist, etc. I believe in the trinity God, Jesus, Holy Spirit. That is all so far. What about you? 1. Why do you believe in Christianity? 2. One interesting question I am having now is: Why do you guess are faithful Christian people dieing here on earth, while other are successful? Has God created an earth that is unjust? 3. Do you believe in the Old Testament, that includes that God has created the world and life? Does it contradict for you to Darwin's theory, that man is the inheritor of ancient apes? Thanks so far. I will read and learn more hopefully in the other topics. Bye

Shlama Ancient Christian! Thanks for telling a little more about yourself. Is it difficult to live in the Middle East as a Christian? Do you ever face persecution for your beliefs? I'll try to answer your questions briefly. #2 and #3 would be great questions to ask in other parts of the forum too, so that more people would see and respond to them. quote:
1. Why do you believe in Christianity? The short answer for me is that God revealed to me that Jesus truly was the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and He continues to teach me more about Himself as I study the Word and grow in faith. quote:
2. One interesting question I am having now is: Why do you guess are faithful Christian people dieing here on earth, while other are successful? Has God created an earth that is unjust? This is one of those tough questions that many Christians (and others) struggle with. One thing I can say with certainty is that God did not create an earth that is unjust, even though from a human perspective it may look that way sometimes. God's creation was perfect, but Adam's disobedience allowed sin into the world. Sometimes God will allow believers to go through trials and pain in order to do His work in them, and sometimes bad things happen as a result of sin (not necessarily the believer's own sin -- sometimes it's caused by the sin of others). I don't always understand God's methods (I am human, and he is the Almighty, after all ), but He is always just and righteous. I think if you asked this question in the General Faith section, you would get a lot of thoughtful responses from people who are more mature Christians than I am. quote:
3. Do you believe in the Old Testament, that includes that God has created the world and life? Does it contradict for you to Darwin's theory, that man is the inheritor of ancient apes? Yes, I do believe the Old Testament and that God is the Creator of the universe. Yes, to me it does contradict Darwin's theory of evolution, but that doesn't pose a huge problem for me because I don't believe Darwin's theory is accurate. For this question, I would suggest posting in the Science and Origins forum for more discussion. Hope you enjoy the forums!

Shlama, This is so wonderful to find a Forum to share about our Lord. I have been all over the internet trying very hard to find anywhere I could get an Aramaic translation of the "Jesus Prayer" - Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Have Mercy On Me - which is one of the most ancient Christian prayers in the world I am told. I could not find anywhere I could get a translation so I decided to try and piece together anything I could find on the words of the prayer in Aramaic. This is what I tried: MaRaH YeSHuOE MSHiYKHEH, B'RaA AaLaHea, B'DaQ KHaNeT D'Eal NaP,SHY Would anyone know if I am even close to a correct translation? I hope someone sees this! Thank you so much for responding if there is any chance someone comes by and actually reads it!
