I am feeling much better ((((((Sharon)))))), so far at least. Here are the pics that Miss Evelyn took at Lost Maples. I put notes under some of them. I am quite proud of her. ***don't tell anyone but both of the kids are getting cameras for Christmas, that's their "big" present this year. And not cheapie kiddie cameras that fall apart after two weeks either.***

It says the pics were taken with a Cannon PowerShot A560. Is that what you bout her and Ben when you gave them cameras, or is it one of your older ones. That is the point and shoot I use when I don't want to lug the big camera around. I usually carry it in my purse, actually. This is the camera they are getting for Christmas. Evelyn gets the red one and Ben gets blue. They also shoot video, so they should have a blast with that.

ORIGINAL: karlie Beckey, that's the camera Kristen got last Christmas...it takes great pictures. Good! I had a few reservations about spendins so much on cameras for the kids (I didn't pay over $100 by the way...more like $89 each) but the "kiddie" ones are basically garbage. They have both had cheapie cameras and they take horrible pictures and didn't have flash capability or the video capability. I'm hoping it will be a good lesson in responsibility. We'll see. Plus, maybe they'll leave my camera alone then. LOL!

Beckey, where did you find one for $89? I'm thinking of getting one for myself now that Kristen has moved out and I can't nab hers when I want to! I haven't shopped around much though. I think your kids will do great with them...they both already know a little about picture-taking and probably get that a "real" camera has to be treated more gently.

Overstock.com I think I got the refurbished ones. I have bought refurbished Kodaks before and had no problems.

So, now I am officially on facebook. I can keep up, I can keep up, I can keep up. I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week already. Guess I should start shopping for the stuff I don't already have.

. . . ... how cool that you are talking about cameras! Today was library day with the girls.... I picked up a Digital Camera for Dummies book! I love my camera... but it has such automated settings... I can never get indoor pictures to come out right!

I want a new digital camera. Mine is so bulky and I can't find the cord to go to it. So I can only upload pictures at my friends house. I'm trying to convince mom to get her one so I can 'inherit' the other like I did the one I have...lol. I hate the Kodak software though. Its a pain!

Just get a card uploader (something like this) and then you can just copy the photos into whatever folder you want them in.
