I have endometriosis. My tubes are open, but they think my infertility is probably caused in part by the inflammation in my abdomen - that I am essentially attacking the sperm and/or embryo before implantation. I think it must have been a male who decided to use the term "hostile" environment.

Ok, I need some opinions. My doctor wants me to come in at 7DPO for bloodwork (well she said CD21, but I'm gonna do it 7DPO), which is today. Or at least I'm pretty sure it is today. My concern is, if I get the blood drawn today and the date is off, or I ovulated later thatn CD10, my bloodwork will be wrong and she'll assume once again that I didn't ovulate, even if I did. So, could you guys look at my chart and tell me if you still think I ovulated on CD10, or if its possible FF is wrong and I actually ovulated later?

I would say that it still looks like you ovulated on CD 10. Are you using OPK's at all?

It certainly looks like cd10 - especially with your other signs.

I vote for CD10, at least that's what I'd go on if it were me.

You never got a good jump later, so I would say it still looks like CD10.

As for this...

I would get the blood work done today (if you haven't already) and then if the above situation occurs, tell her. I think you'll need to do that for her to have an accurate picture of what's going on as well. And then you can get a draw again later. (This is assuming your bloodwork from today would be back before CD21.)

I use them, but last month was the only time I've ever gotten a positive on them. This month I never got a positive, and I even tested for several days after and didn't get one.

If she was a reasonable doctor, that might be the case. Last time I had to beg to have them draw blood again, and because it was only 6DPO instead of 7DPO, she still assumed I didn't ovulate, even though I'm pretty sure I did. CD10 makes the most sense. I guess CD14 is a possibility, but I didn't really feel anything going on then, and CD10 I was definitely feeling it.

I think I will go in tomorrow morning to get the bloodwork so that it can be a fasting test, because I've been reading how food causes your levels to read lower, and every other time she's tested it, it was in the afternoon after eating. I just don't want another lecture about how I need to quit crying wolf just because my temps say I ovulated. And yes, I'm in the process of looking for a new doctor, but its hard to switch mid-cycle. If you all could pray that the numbers at least show ovulation, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for your input.

This sounds like a good plan. Sorry you're having to deal with that on top of everything else.

Ok, just a randomly bizarre update. I came home today and took an OPK, like I've been doing every day, and normally they've shown a barely there second line, all cycle. This evening, its almost positive. The test line is just a tiny bit lighter than the control line. What in the world is going on? Anyone have any ideas?

Hmm, the only things that come to mind that would cause a positive opk are LH surge b/c you are about to ovulate, pregnancy, or hcg injection (I'm pretty sure you haven't done that). In case you are about to O, you might want to take another opk in 6 hours instead of 12 to make sure you don't miss the surge. Anyone else have ideas?

I think it's a good call to look for a new doc who will be more helpful and optimistic. A little bedside manner goes a long way!

My first thought was, if it is ovulation, have sex! But really I have no idea what it might be. I have heard that opk's will get positive sometimes at pregnancy. But I'm not sure if that can be verified.

Well of course, that was my first thought too, lol.

I've read that too but most people seem to get a positive OPK after they've gotten a positive HPT, and some people always have an LH surge right before TOM shows up, so I don't know that I can put much stock in it for that. I'm hoping it doesn't mean ovulation, since that will screw up my blood test tomorrow. Or maybe I'm hoping it does mean ovulation, and that it shoots my progesterone levels through the roof. I'm so confused.

Isn't it amazing that we can know anything at all about our bodies? It seems I find a whole bunch of stuff out and then I find out more things I didn't know about it at all. Then I think "well then how can I know what in the world is going on?" It's amazing we all don't die like the fish in my fish tank. But that's another story.

The tests haven't changed at all, I've tested every 6 hours and they are all still almost positive, which really makes me think it isn't ovulation since the only time I've gotten a positive around ovulation, I got an almost positive, 6 hours later a blaring positive, and 6 hours after that a blaring negative. My temp went below coverline today though, which I don't know what to make of that, but I've got a super high temp this evening. Of course, my sore throat has gotten worse today and I've been so tired that I literally slept all day.

Kathryn, I totally get what you are saying. I feel like the more I know, the less I know. I'll be talking to my mom about something I learned, and she'll be like "wow, I had no clue", and then we'll talk about how crazy the whole process is. I'm sure she's learned far more than she's ever wanted to know, since I tell her every little thing I learn and we talk about it just about every day, lol.

I had my blood drawn at 7 this morning, and they told me they have to send it out to another lab, so it will probably be Wednesday before I have any results. I hate waiting, lol.

I appreciate you guys waiting with me. It gets so frustrating to wait, lol.

Today's temp is really weird. I was up and down alot until 3 am, which I think accounts for it being lower at 5:15 when I normally take it, but then I got about 4 hours of good sleep and it was at 98.11. I did a temp correction to see what it would say on the later temp, and it was like 97.66, which is better than 97.38, but I'm not really sure how accurate any of them are at this point.

My OPK's are still the exact same, almost positive, but not quite, and when I lay them all next to each other they look identical. I'm really starting to think it might mean something, lol, but I hate to get my hopes up, especially since my temp is being so weird. Waiting stinks.

Check out the temp jump today!!!!! Of course, looking at my previous charts, I get one temp jump like that right before TOM comes it seems. I guess it will depend on the next couple of temps. If it stays high, my chart will be triphasic. ARGH, I hate waiting.
