It's been a year since my knee surgery (ACL recostruction and meniscus repair). I'm just beginning to do squats. It feels good to finally make progress.

That's good to hear. Are you wearing knee braces of any sort?

Did your Doc give th ok for squats?

Coming back from an ACL injury has got to be slow and patient work I would think.

I lost my health insurance at the end of last December. I had to leave physical therapy as a result. I got as much advice as I could get before losing the insurance and have been working diligently and slowly since. It's taken me much longer than I expected to get strength back in that leg. It seems odd to be able to bench press more than I can squat.

As for the brace. I still have one, but only wear it if I know I am going to be running.

test day!

60 snatch 65, 70 PR, 75 miss, 75 miss (both behind), 80 PR haha. i definitely could do more, in both the 75s i pulled too high and the bar fell down fast and behind and since my body wasnt as upright as it should be missed them

clean and jerk missed a few jerks with 80 due to uhm.. well its complicated and im bored to explain. finally got it right then got 85, 90, 95 all PRs

didnt try for more, but made a 100 clean PR

so now i have a 175 total yay!

idk if i mentioned this, competition is in 17th january and im hoping to get at LEAST 200 total.

today's noteworthy achievement is 4*65 snatch

my back didnt feel so good during warming up for the jerks so i didnt clean and jerk much today.

got a new program today. its gonna kill me. i think i need 4-5 days rest right now but anyway.

today jerks were pretty nice. snatches not so great, snatched 2*68 then i had 3*68 and missed them all behind.

good thing is that im progressing steadily on squats despite feeling so tired

well after resting for 4 days... i go back and i end up with more knee pain than ive ever had.

i guess power snatches+power cleans and jerks+hang cleans+Front squats all with feet pointing forward kinda wil do that
