I'm glad I waited. Filled up at 1.98! Only 35 to fill the tank. And that's on a truck!

Hubby got all excited when he filled up his car for around $25!

I'm still at half a tank so I'm waiting a little bit longer.

Blessings,

Garsy

Rats! I got excited yesterday and filled up at $2.89. Today, I saw gas for $2.59 in the city. I'll be sure to wait next week.

I saw $2.65 today. I need gas- I'm down to 1/4 tank, and for me that's only 1 day of driving.

It is $2.15 near my house but about 15 miles down the road they are selling it for $1.99 and less. Hope that pricing moves on up the road!!!

I think it's $2.19 here for the blended gas. You'll get differing opinions on this, but I won't put E10 (10% ethanol) gas in my car. I pay 10 cents more for ethanol free. I'm a little OCD about my cars though.

If I had a choice, I would pay the extra for the real gas too. The blended gas gets way less milage than the unblended so I really don't see a point to it. We use more of it, so we put more pollution in the air, and for what? So that some politican can say that they helped "clean" the environment. They forget the part about us using so much more that it is actually worse for the environment.

You're probably referring to that E85 stuff, which is like 70+% ethanol I think? With that you will get substantially less in fuel mileage. This E10 is not like that. Some say you'll get maybe 1-2 MPG less, but that's about it. Most people wouldn't even notice, but even with E10 I know of people whose "check engine" lights will come on when filling up with that stuff.

It's taken a while for our prices to go down like the rest of the country. It's currently 2.79.

But I will not be using nearly as much gas. I've learned the joy of walking -- took a gas crisis to do it. LOL!

I have saved a lot of money and I've lost about 8-10 pounds and haven't done anything but walk a few days a week out of necessity. Thankfully, the bad weather has not set in yet, which is unusual. It's usually cold and snowy by now. But the days have been fantastic. I mean, they have been perfect, so in good conscience I couldn't drive.

I've got a lot more energy too.

bzirk - I've noticed that too. Also, the additional walking has helped lower my cholesterol too!

It's $2.11 here now. The cheapest we saw anywhere on our vacation was $2.04.

Hubby filled up at $1.95 yesterday. I'm officially relieved. I can live with this. What a difference it has made in our budget over the last few weeks!

Wow! I got it for 1.99 yesterday, hoping it will continue to drop.

I am at 2.35 and I can live with that!

I agree! I can't believe what a difference it makes. We are also able to go places, that we could not do before. We just had to stay home. We can't stimulate the economy if we can't drive anywhere!

I can't believe some of you are below $2!!! We're at $2.61 in a neighboring town. I saw $2.46 today on the reservation, but their gas makes my van sputter. When I go to the city tomorrow, I will fill up. They've been running 15-20 cents cheaper than here.

It's $1.98 in Terre Haute now. If they keep getting lower, soon they're going to be paying us to take it.

It's like 2.39 here. Can't remember exactly because I'm walking so much, and the only fuel I usually get is diesel for my bus route. But my husband came home last night and said he told the local station that there must be something wrong with their pumps since he was able to fill up his vehicle for less than $45.

We were in town today and Fort Wayne has finally broken the $2 mark!!! It's nice to know that I can fill the tank on my van and hubby's car and NOT spend half of my hubby's paycheck to do so.

Blessings,

Garsy

Our gas prices are almost half what they were in August. It's such a relief! When I filled up my car last week and it shut off at less than $30, I kept wondering what had happened and why it shut off. Then it hit me, it was full for that price. I doubt we'll ever see below $2 here again, but what we're paying now is soooo much better than the $4.50 it hit this summer.
