Max Payne - I enjoyed it, because I enjoyed the video game, and while the plot was altered, it still FELT like the video game.

At home:

10 things I hate about you - cute funny chick flick.
Transformers - Great movie ... now I know why I was missing out so much!!!

Theaters:
Max Payne - I thought the action was pretty awesome, but hated the plot. Felt like it didn't make any sense at all and that just ruined the movie.

Shogun Assassin--it's just an Anglo-Americanized hodgepodge of the entire Lone Wolf And Cub Series, cut and pasted to show only the best and bloodiest fight sequences (hint: an almost, literally hosing down effect with the arterial blood spray, typically genre convention of the samurai/chambara genre), though the ending leaves much more for another cut-and-paste sequel!

in bruges -- a lot of swearing at the front end and at the back end, and some gruesome violence; but then, it is a movie about some hitmen. ultimately, however, it's a move about judgement and justice, and even grace. using the art and history of bruges (which is in belgium) as found in churches and museums was also interesting as a commentary on images and how they shape us (or not). a better film than i thought it would be. 3.5/5

Great movie and the glasses do make it cool. Only downside is that the color gets washed out with the red and blue. But after a while you get used to it. Actually older DD didn't care for the 3D glasses.

DD's favorite line which cracks me up whenever she says it:

Brendan Frasier and kid running for their lives from a T-Rex

kid: "haven't you ever seen a dinosaur before?"
Fraser: "not with skin on it!"

ME TOO! But, I'm not exactly a closet fan...everybody knows I love those movies! And one other thing...there is word that it might not be the end! (I'm kind of hoping it's not...)

I also FIREPROOF, the story line was totally amazing, it had me laughing and crying! Even if your not a fan of that type of movie, if you are someone who is married, engaged, dating, or even just desire one day to be any of those things, I would really recommend it!

I don't know anything about the video game, so I was a bit confused at the beginning of the movie. Once I realized I didn't accidentally buy a ticket to a horror film, I liked it. I thought it was a good lesson on why you shouldn't do drugs (but I'm sure that wasn't it's point )

Over the weekend I saw The Secret Life of Bees and Madagascar Escapr 2 Africa. The Secret Life...I loved; wish I could find the soundtrack. Madagascar not so much, could just be me. The 9 yr old that I went with, enjoyed it though.

Madagascar 2. IT's sooo funny, lol. I'm such a freak...I almost cried at the love story between the giraffe and the hippo...

It's a cute little children's movie.

I will take my kid to the secret life of bees. She'd love it. That's her kind of thing.
