I have a very light mustache and don't do anything about it, but dd has more than me and wants it gone. Any suggestions?

I just get mine waxed once a month. She does it when she's doing my eyebrows every other time.

Tweezers.

Having initially done a major exercise to get it all down (upper lip and chin), I only need to pluck a few hairs each day. I do my eyebrows every day anyway, so it's not a big deal. Doing it so often means there's not much regrowth, nor does it hurt.

yeah...because many times in someone who has not yet given birth ...it can be a sign of hormonal imbalances.....or polycystic ovarian syndrome....

Of course some ethnic groups are more prone to facial hair in women too.

I have a few stray hairs on my chin....no mustache....I just pluck them. It keeps them gone for weeks at a time.

I use something like this for my eyebrows. It'd work elsewhere on the face too.

It's quick, simple and painless.

She's 15 going on 16 and it's just on the sides of her upper lip. She's blond too.

Every few weeks I use the wax strips (Sally Hansen brand maybe?) to get rid of everything so my makeup doesn't clump up above my lip, but most of the time I just use a good pair of tweezers to get the darker/heavier hairs. That combination works well for me.

This is what I do but I wait longer than a month. But now I will look for those wax strips next time I'm at the store.

I just use the Nair removal cream. Works good for me. (I don't have to use it very often)

I bleach my stache. It takes 5 minutes and works great. I've found that tweezing my upper lip gives me little pimples wherever I pull out a hair. (It doesn't do that when I tweeze my eyebrows for some reason.)

I buy the facial bleach kit (Jolene or other brands) at Walmart. It's not expensive and it lasts a long time.

I've used that in the past. Mine is only noticable when my face is tan.

And that's why I can't bleach because I'm tan all year round.

But I may be looking into wax strips. Sounds like something I can do when I notice it.

I use Nair removal cream, but I've noticed it irritating my skin more than it used to. I used to use the bleach and that worked well for me. I have pale skin, even when I'm tanned.

Flowerz ~ are you using cream that is especially designed for your face? If not, that could be why you're skin is getting irritated.

I wax every 6 weeks or so. Works great. I can pluck my brows but it hurts a lot worse to pluck above the lips. I think the brand I use it GiGi's from Sally's Beauty Supply store. It's the microwavable kind and you don't need muslin(sp?) strips because the wax hardens as it cools.

Nope, it's not especially for faces. Didn't know it would make a difference, thought it was all just marketing.

Here in the UK, Nair have a product that is just for faces - facial skin is more sensitive than other areas.

We have it here in the US as well...unfortunately it doesn't get rid of the hair as well as the regular stuff and double unfortunately (I know...not proper structure; oh well) the regular stuff burns my skin off.

So...off to get it waxed.

I'd like to try something like agapetos uses though. Looks like you get a closer shave than the little eyebrow trimmers.

I have had electrolysis treatment for some hair on my chin and upper lip. It is good and hardly hurts and gets rid of the hairs for good. I would recommend it to anyone.

I've had friends do that and they say one drawback is if you have darker skin it tends to leave marks behind. I'm a bit concerned about that.

My sister started electrolysis years ago, and she still has to go in once in a while, so for her at least, it isn't permanent.

I leave mine alone. It is very light and I rarely notice it. Once this year when I was getting my eyebrows waxed the lady asked if I wanted a lip wax too. Uhm, no. I don't want to have to start tending to lip hair all the time too.

Tweezers for the thick dark ones, scissors for just the little fuzzies. The tweezers is pretty much an every day thing for me.
