Well folks...I am on my way to the North.

Keep me in your prayers, keep us all in your prayers...just help me to allow G-d to completely orchestrate this week. There is a LOT going on and I don't want to do anything He doesn't want.

Regardless of who gets hurt.

Love you all and I can't wait to come back and share stories of my adventures in the snow!!!!

I'm new to your thread and I'm going back to read more. Would like to make a serious comment based on my life but not sure if I will offend or not. Would you mind if I responded to the dating thing?

Of course I don't mind. when I get back to Florida I'll have much to update everyone on. Right now I'm in a hotel in Birmingham waiting for the Dallas game to start so I can head over to the Outback.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. They were well received and definitely felt.

Was wondering how you were doing. Do you like football? My husband does but I don't and he's an emphatic fan. IF he's up and a game is on then the TV is playing it.

I loooove football. I especially love it when mah Cowboys win.

-----

Okay all...I am back in Florida and here to bring you an update.

The visition hearing went well. Thing 1's dad's lawyer came in asking for spring break, 6 weeks during the summer, Thanksgiving break, and Christmas break. In other words all school breaks.

He's getting 3 weeks during the summer. So that turned out well.

Had a very safe journey. One hiccup right before Andalusia Alabama; had a flat and no cell phone signal...LOL Luckily I was in G-d's country and a nice young couple stopped to help me out. He changed the tire and his girlfriend and I chatted. Headed to Wal-Mart, bought a new tire and back on the road. *sigh* Gotta love it.

As of now FG and I broke up. We are still going to be friends, we are still going to talk, but right now the relationship is on hold.

It's horribly hard but I think it will be good and who knows? If life changes we can always get back together.

Glad the court thing went well.

I know you must be a little sad about breaking up with FG, but not rushing into anything is a good thing. Bless you.

Well I do know job hunting sucks.

I don't even know where to start, so I've just been applying for silly stuff and the site I go to is a ridiculously long process. *sigh*

So today I'm going to talk to my life group leaders about financial responsibility and accountability.

I think this is a lot of my problems with finances. I am accountable to no one but myself and it's so easy for me to talk myself into buying something that I don't really need. I'm a sucker for peer self pressure.

Keep me in your prayers because what I'm going to ask of them is going to be a huge investment in my life, as well as holding me accountable so when I do move, and do get away from my parents, I can do it on two feet.

Oh...did I mention my dad recently lost his job? Yeah...definitely a good reason to get on my feet.

Tink, have you thought of going through a debt counseling course? ie. Dave Ramsey or something similar. It can be good for teaching you not only good spending habits, but good debt-reducing and saving habits. I'm glad you're getting some accountability in that area.

I have thought about it, but I'm not in debt; I just spend too much.

I emailed my leaders earlier today so we'll see what they have to say. I'm just afraid of getting completely on my own in Illinois and being completely overwhlemed and end up broke and on the streets or something. Doubtful my family would let that happen, but you never know. I need to learn eventually. I just want to learn before it gets ridiculous...you know?

Do I need an INVITE?

Tink, my oldest is 31 and has been living at home with his dad and me. He is supposed to be moving out soon though. He works, makes a fairly decent salary but it is much easier to live with us rent, utility free. Once he is on his own he won't have the money to play like he wants to. You know go out to restaurants, the movies, shopping, etc. The stuff hubby and I can't afford because we are paying for a mortgage and utilities.

Nah, but some people, I won't say who *looks in mirror* feel they deserve special invitations.

To be honest I just moved out of my parents house a couple of years ago. So in retrospect I have never truly be on my own. I went from my parents house to my husbands, and then back to my parents after the divorce.

What's sad is every year I make more money and every year I find myself in this same pickle as the year before.

It's time to stop this vicious cycle.
