rachay - I don't have kids but I like to be able to put the baby down and not have to chase him/her all over the house. And every kid I have babysit has reminded me that I am not their mother. LOL

I know how that goes. Been there, done that. Experienced that just today.

Rachay, congrats. We stopped at 2 and had regrets for a few years. I had them not dh. Thanks. Both of my sister's wish they had more kids too...and then they come to my house and they don't mind so much. quote:
Isn't it crazy how different we all are? I am not a baby person, but I love it when they hit about 18 months or so. My son will be 3 this month, and though I get really frustrated with him sometimes, I'd take 5 two-year-olds over 1 baby. dH has asked me if we want a 3rd, and honestly, I just couldn't handle having a baby again. God didn't wire me that way. Give 'em to me as a 2 year old and I might feel differently. Are your big kids a help to you? That's what I often hear from large families. And congratulations! I'm sure you make gorgeous children. Thank you. My older kids are a big help, but not always because they want to be. I think my kids are cute, that's for sure, but I'm partial.

Wow that is so neat with the bird in the nest. Really cool. Bright and colorful too.

I love hummingbirds and rarely see them around here. Saw a hummingbird moth one time and that was pretty cool. Speaking of bird eggs; we had finches that laid eggs al the time and it was really neat for awhile, then we got tired of all the babies.

Years ago I planted some Zinnias in front of my house and one day when I was sitting on the porch I saw some hummingbirds. At first, I didn't know what they were and thought they were really big butterflies.

Is there somewhere to complain about a doctor for things other than abuse? I know a lot of you know what I've been through with my specialist/obgyn over the years, and I finally just asked for my medical records but they won't send the form so I can get them. I just want to leave and never go back...even if I have to go to another country, which I'm seriously looking into, if I have the time and resources to stay. But, even if I go overseas, I need to be able to get my records from this doctor...he's the one who's done my most serious surgery and most of my treatments (the surgery area never healed, so when I go to the next doc, they need to see what happened with that and how long I've been complaining about it). I'm really not sure what to do...but I need my records, and I probably need to be able to get in touch with them in the future because some docs want the records sent straight to them from the previous doctor. I'm tired of trying to track them down, hound them and all this other stuff.

I'm sure you knew this, but legally they have to give them to you if you ask. They may have to mail them for privacy reasons.

They've mailed everything to me in the past; I guess I don't understand why I have to repeatedly ask for weeks on end and still come up empty. I think they said they have 30 days, but I think that's 30 days from the time they get your form back. I'm still waiting on the form, but I know there's one around here somewhere that I've misplaced. I'm going to try to find it, since they seem to either be swamped or ignoring me. I don't know why it's like this now... maybe they just don't have time for everything and every woman, but in the past I could talk to real people, or be able to get in touch with the doctor even (but I'd have to go through a nurse). Now, you can't do either of those anymore. I'm still sitting over here waiting for an appointment after 8 months, and asking for a referral to someone who could see me sooner because the pain from the surgery he did is getting worse. (All the pain is worse, but I'm limping at times from the surgical complications.) I suppose I don't see what I did, or what they're doing, to have it end up in a situation like this.

They could be worried about you suing them. Just a guess. I hope it gets resolved soon, so you can move on. quote:

I biked 15 miles today ~ and now I'm pooped! (Hmmm.... can I say "pooped" on Crosswalk?) Dinner was grilled tilapia, green beans, and oven-roasted yukon gold potatoes. It was another blustery day with lots of clouds and chilly winds .... brrr .... and a lot of my biking seemed to be against a headwind! Oh well, it burns more calories that way, right? I did make plans to have lunch on Saturday with two of my girlriends, which should be a nice diversion. (We're going out for Pho ~ Vietnamese noodle soup ~ my favorite!) Tomorrow, I'm driving another friend downtown to the Amtrak station, and then on the way home I thought I would do some grocery shopping since I'm running low on veggies. Do you know what tomorrow is? Besides Wednesday, I mean. It's three weeks until my wonderful DH comes home (March 31) ... and it's one week until my birthday (yay, I'll be 45!) My wonderful DH mailed me a card and wrote on the envelope "Do not open until March 17" ... which I though was pretty sweet. Anyway... just three more weeks from tomorrow ... 22 days. Wow ... remember back when he first left and it was going to be 90 days until he came back? Anyway, I talked to him on the phone today and the rest of his unit (who deployed to Iraq) just got home and are all safe and sound back in town.... which is great news. My blood sugars continue to do well, by the way... this is Day #4 without daytime insulin. I was chatting with my wonderful DH about this, and we both realize that when my biking tapers off (probably by June, it gets so hot here), I may have to start up those shots again, but for the time being I'm loving not having to take them. Besides, maybe I'll have lost enough weight in March, April and May that by the time June rolls around, I won't need them even if my biking is less? Hmmm... that's something to work (and pray) for, huh? Rachay ... when we first moved into this house, I mentioned to my wonderful DH about the "night hummingbirds" that were always zipping around the backyard at dusk and even after dark. There was a long pause ............................................................................ then he said, "those aren't hummingbirds, dear, those are bats!"

Now, I'm wierd, 'cause I like bats. I think they're cool. Snakes, though, are evil.
